The Reece Museum currently houses approximately 22,000 artifacts that tell the story
of Appalachia at a regional, local, and global level. The artifacts in the Reece Permanent
Collection represent a broad and eclectic range of both fine art and historically
significant items, which the museum continues to collect in support of its mission.
We welcome gifts and donations of quality works of art and historical objects that
support our mission to serve the Appalachian region, and that reflect the needs and
interests of ETSU and the general community.
To inquire about donating, please email our Collections Manager, Savannah Bennett bennettse@etsu.edu.
Each possible donation is assessed by our Collections Committee, and we appreciate as much information as you can provide about where the item came from, who owned it or made it, the year it was made, the condition of the object, an explanation of its connection to the Appalachian region, and a photo of the item.
Please note: the Reece Museum is deferring artifact donations throughout 2024 due to significant storage renovation projects.
