A native of Greene County, TN, Cecile Cox Quillen was employed during her early years at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and later at Eastman Chemical Company, where she met her future husband. Cecile married James H. Quillen on Aug. 9, 1952. James Jimmy Quillen served as a US Congressman from 1963 to 1997.  As can be seen from the hats she wore, Mrs. Quillen was highly acclaimed as a charming and gracious hostess who was always at her husband's side.
