The Harry D. Powell Observatory and the ETSU Astronomy Program are supported in part by the ETSU Friends of Astronomy program. The Friends of Astronomy is a recognized group of supporters dedicated to the advancement of astronomy at ETSU.
The funds are used for Astronomy-related activities at ETSU, including equipment, supplies, and maintenance for the campus Observatory and Planetarium. For more information about this program or to make a tax-deductible contribution, contact the Office of University Advancement or call (423)-439-4242.
Also, ask about the LEAP Scholarship fund (Learning Experiences in Astronomy and Physics). This fund helps support research and teaching experiences for Physics majors.
