The Appalachian Research in Business Symposium (ARBS) is a collaborative effort of Appalachian State University, Eastern Kentucky University, East Tennessee State University, Marshall University, Radford University and Western Carolina University.
In April 2024, Marshall University hosted the 10th Annual ARBS at their campus in
Huntington, West virginia. The conference featured 65 research presentations across
a broad variety of business and computer information systems topics from the faculty
(and some graduate students) of the participating universities. 12 of these presentations
included scholarly contributions from 19 ETSU faculty and 3 ETSU graduate students.
2025 ARBS
ARBS 2025 will be hosted again by Marshall University's Lewis College of Business and is scheduled to be held on Marshall University campus in Huntington, West Virginia during March 27-28, 2025. Appalachian State University was supposed to host the conference this cycle. But due to the damage caused by Hurricane Helene in Boone, North Carolina the ARBS committee concluded that Appalachian State University will not be in a position to host the conference this upcoming year.
Hence Marshall University graciously agreed to host the conference again this year. The submission deadline for ARBS 2025 is February 1, 2025. The official ARBS 2025 website (https://www.marshall.edu/cob/appalachian-research-in-business-symposium-2025/) has the call for papers, the short paper and abstract templates, and submission instructions.

If you would like to volunteer as a reviewer for the submitted abstracts and short papers, please contact Prasun Bhattacharjee.
