The College is pleased to announce that Dr. Melanie B. Richards has been appointed as the Interim Director of the newly established School of Marketing and Media within the College of Business and Technology. Dr. Richards has been a valued faculty member since 2016, contributing extensively in roles such as the undergraduate program coordinator for Media and Communication, the graduate program coordinator for the Brand and Media Strategy program, and the associate department chair.
With over 20 years of professional experience in marketing research, analytics, and
leadership development, Dr. Richards brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to
her new role. Her experience working with Fortune 500 companies and nonprofit organizations,
combined with her academic focus on brand experience, makes her uniquely qualified
to lead this new School. Dr. Richards’ strong interpersonal and leadership skills
will be essential in fostering collaboration among faculty and staff to create a unified
vision and strategic focus for the School.
As we continue to position the College for growth and innovation, Dr. Richards’ leadership
will be instrumental in advancing the School’s mission and increasing the visibility
of our exceptional programs in Marketing, Media, and Communication.
