Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science
The B.S. in Exercise Science provides students with a strong foundation in human movement, biomechanics, physiology, and fitness assessment. This degree is designed for students interested in careers related to health, fitness, rehabilitation, and human performance. The curriculum includes courses in exercise physiology, kinesiology, conditioning, and exercise prescription, along with laboratory-based and community-engaged learning experiences. The program prepares students for careers in fitness training, strength and conditioning, corporate wellness, and clinical exercise physiology, as well as graduate and professional programs in allied health fields such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, physician assistant studies, chiropractic, and medical school.
All of our Exercise Science students complete an Internship that provides them with the opportunity to develop and apply practical skills, explore career fields, work with leaders in the field, enhance graduate school preparation, and gain a competitive advantage in the workplace. Major Program Sheet: Students will need to print out a pdf of their DegreeWorks form and have their advisor sign the document prior to taking it to the graduation office in Burgin Dossett Hall.
