Technology Support for Clemmer College
Here's the latest from the ETRC:
ETRC Online Technology Assistance
Based on the updated university remote work procedures and CDC guidelines, the ETRC staff will be modifying our availability to practice social distancing with regard to the safety and well-being of students, faculty, and staff. We will be available Monday – Friday by email for technology support. Please contact Tami Baker (firstname.lastname@example.org) and/or Nick Papworth (email@example.com) for assistance. Thank you for your patience and consideration as we work through the current situation.
Windows Updates for ETSU PCs operating remotely
If you are working remotely using an ETSU Windows laptop, you may not be receiving updates in a timely fashion. Your ETSU laptop may be trying to connect to the ETSU network in order to download updates, and depending on your network and settings, it may be unable to download them. Please visit the ITS Windows Update Detailed Guide for steps on how to ensure your ETSU-owned Windows 10 computer is staying safe and secure while working remotely. Please note that this only applies to ETSU-owned equipment. Any personal devices are excluded from these steps.
Third party software, such as internet browsers, that you use to connect to ETSU
should also be updated regularly to help prevent information security weaknesses.
If you have questions or need assistance applying updates, please contact the ITS
Help Desk at firstname.lastname@example.org or 423-439-4648.
Our Software page has been revamped to include tutorials for some of the software available in the lab. Please let us know if there are any other software tutorials that would be helpful.
