In response to the coronavirus
DLAR will remain openPlease see the COVID-19 Update for DLAR and the UCAC (below) for the most recent plan for the animal facilities and the University Committee on Animal Care. If you have questions, please email email@example.com.
The Division of Laboratory Animal Resources (DLAR) is charged with providing laboratory animal care services and assuring humane treatment of all animals used for teaching and research at ETSU.
These services include procurement of animals and their maintenance under conditions that are appropriate for the conduct of experimentation and meet federal, state, and local regulations and DHHS guidelines. The well trained and dedicated DLAR staff also acts as a central resource for the facilitation of experimental protocols requiring the use of live animals, such as in the manipulation, restraint, and anesthesia of the various species used. The purpose of the DLAR is to provide complete animal care facilities at a high technical level of competence and as economically efficient as possible.
