Anna Musket, PhD
Graduate: Ph.D in Biomedical Sciences, East Tennessee State University, 2023
Undergraduate: B.S in Biology and Chemistry
Brief Bio
Dr. Musket completed her Ph.D. in Biomedical Science at ETSU’s Quillen College of Medicine and has training and research experience in the fields of Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology. Currently, Dr. Musket’s research focuses on protein alterations leading to carcinogenesis and cancer immunotherapy. In her current position as a postdoctoral research associate in Dr. Jiang’s lab, she is studying the endothelial-mesenchymal transition of cancers from a genetic and molecular point of view.
Research Interests statement
Dr. Musket’s research focus has been cancer, from oncogenic c-MET alterations leading to tumorigenesis to cancer immunotherapy with CART cells that target c-MET. She is currently studying PKA and cAMP-mediated tumorigenesis with an emphasis on PKA inhibition and the effects of PKA inhibitors on the homeostasis of cancerous cells.
