Summer Medical Student Research Symposium Information
The Medical Student Summer Research Symposium will be held on Friday, September 29th
from 1-4 PM in Building 178. Poster boards will be set up on the mezzanine levels
of the ground and first floors. View previous year poster examples here.
Students will give poster presentations about the research they participated in during the summer. Two to three judges will visit each poster, and presenters will have 5-7 minutes to present the project and answer questions. Posters will be judged based on appearance, content, and communication skills.
Poster design/templates: Each poster board is 66 inches wide by 44 inches high. The size and design is up to the presenter as long as it fits on the poster board. Make sure the poster is easy to see and read. ETSU’s Biomedical Communications website has several poster templates ready for download.
Monetary awards and certificates will be given to the top 3 presentations in both clinical/population health and basic science research categories.
