Catalog Curriculum Approval Deadline
In order to meet the March 15 catalog curriculum deadline, all necessary curriculum approvals must be completed prior to March 15.
What goes in the catalog when?
Ongoing
- New Programs
- New Concentrations
- New policy that does not affect curriculum.
- Courses
Fall Implementation Only
- Revision of Curriculum
- New policy or policy revisions that affect curriculum such as progression, retention, and graduation.
- Compass Core Courses
March 15
Deadline for curriculum changes both editorial and substantial to be included in new
catalog.
Any change to an existing program of study must be approved by the University Committee
(Graduate, Undergraduate or Academic Council) by March 15 in order to be included
in the new catalog for the academic year.
First week in March
All non-curriculum editorial changes must been submitted to the catalog manager
Second week in March
Catalogs to be reviewed by college faculty designee and associate dean of Graduate School
First week in April
Catalogs published online
August 15 - September 15
Review and submit faculty updates to published catalog. *Faculty contracts begin August 15 of the current catalog year. There is a brief window in which new/updated information is placed in the published catalog.
Note: Curricular actions earning final approval after the deadline will be deferred to the subsequent catalog and will take effect in the fall term to which that catalog applies. Editorial changes that clarify or correct errors without changing curricula, requirements, or policies may be implemented at any time.
