Will scholarships be available?
ETSU Esports offers scholarships for Varsity student athletes. The scholarship amounts are determined by a variety of factors including but not limitied to: player skill level, overall academic performance, and financial need. -
In which tournaments will ETSU Esports compete?
ETSU Esports will participate NACE Starleague Competition, developer ran leagues, and regional LANs. -
When is the collegiate esports season?
The collegiate esports season begins in September each year. . Matches will be scheduled in advance and the full schedule will be published on our website www.etsu.edu/esports. -
How often will varsity teams train?
The team will train three times per week with each training session lasting three hours. Two weeks prior to major competitions an extra two-hour training session will be added to the schedule. -
What are the academic requirements?
Student athletes must maintain a 2.5 GPA, be enrolled as a full time student, and be making progress toward graduation in order maintain team member status. -
Will I need to bring my own computer?
ETSU Esports will provide all team members access to our state-of-the-art training facility, fully equipped with high end gaming computers. Students should supply their own peripherals. -
Will the team ever travel for tournaments?
Based on regular season performance, teams will have the opportunity to travel to compete in post season play with high placements providing travel opportunities -
Will it be an issue if I don’t have any classes on main campus?
Team members do not need to attend classes on main campus but will be required to attend all training and competitions in the arena located in the Cave area of the D. P. Culp University Center.
