We in the Honors College are commited to helping you create remarkable stories. To do that, you need to be engaged and involved with the life of the college and of the university. Within the Honors College, there are two meaningful and simple ways you can become active, have a voice, and help us attract future students.

Honors College Student Council

In the fall semester of each academic year, we hold elections for the following calendar year's student council members. From those elected by their peers to serve, the officers are chosen. However, the elected council members welcome and encourage the the active participation of all Honors students in student council events and projects so there is room for anyone who wants to be involved to do so!

Honors College Ambassadors

If you would love to talk to prospective students and their parents about your Honors College experience, please consider becoming an Honors College Ambassador. This group of students assists Honors College staff at various recruitment events on and near to campus. Ambassadors receive an Honors College tee shirt, an Honors Ambassadors pin, and personalized business cards to hand out to prospective students and are encouraged to follow-up with them after events. Our goal is to create a strong, personal relationship that begins before a student is even enrolled and extends after graduation. 

In addition, if you're interested in visiting your high school when you're home on a break and school is in session, Brittany Mitchell and Admissions Office staff would be very happy to have you do that. We will give you with tips on contacting your school and making a presentation, plus provide you with recruitment materials. There may even be a nice incentive you can earn for getting us contact information for prospective students!
