ETSU email accounts are automatically created for all new students, faculty, and staff. Student email accounts are created at the time of undergraduate or graduate application. Faculty and staff accounts are created when the signed contract has been processed by Human Resources.
Activate a New Account
To activate your account, go to Account Activation & Password Reset page. You will be asked for your E number, the last four digits of your SSN, and your birth date. Once you provide your credentials, you will be presented with the list of your phone numbers and email addresses that we have on record. You will choose either a phone number or email address to complete the second step of verifying your identity. A verification code will be sent to the selected phone or email. You will then enter the verification code into the website. After completing the verification steps you will be able to set your account password. Be sure that the password you choose complies with the password policy. After a successful password submission, the system will display your username. Please allow 15 minutes for the activation to take effect.
Note: If you get a Login failed message, it could mean that either something you entered doesn't match what's in the database or your account has not been generated yet. Feel free to contact the ITS Help Desk and we can see what may be interfering with the activation process.
Banner INB or GoldLink Finance
Some employees and faculty may require access to certain Internet Native Banner (INB) modules or GoldLink Finance. This access may be requested using the Banner Account Request forms.
Department, Vendor and Guest Account
Departmental accounts, vendor accounts, and guest accounts may be requested using the Departmental Account Request and Guest or Vendor Account Request forms (ETSU account login required).
ETSU Email
An @etsu.edu email account is one of the benefits of an East Tennessee State Student, faculty or staff member. Your campus email is hosted on Office 365 (Microsoft Exchange online.) Help with email.
GoldLink
GoldLink is the portal to ETSU systems. Use your ETSU username and password to log into GoldLink. Undergraduate and Graduate applicants can check the status of applications. Students can look up and register for courses, pay fees, check financial aid status, check grades, and maintain certain contact information. Faculty and advisors can access advisee information, enter grades, and view course section information. Employees can access payroll data, review benefits, and maintain certain contact information. Some employees may use GoldLink to view Finance data associated with their departments. Log on to GoldLink.
Password Resets
