Server Systems

This service resolves host names to network addresses for the etsu.edu domain. To register a host name associated with a given network address or request a change to a hostname, authorized individual can complete the form - Firewall Exemption Request Form  from the ITS site.

ITS offers server hosting and colocation services. If your department has a server or an appliance system or an system that might be virtualized please contact the ITS main office and request to be placed in contact with the Systems support group and we will discuss your needs.

Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) Is used for authentication approval against the central campus directory service. If you have an application and wish to utilize LDAP authentication please contact the ITS main office and request to be placed in contact with the Systems support group and we will discuss your needs.

ITS provides some services for the administration of management of departmentally owned servers. Please contact the ITS main office and request to be placed in contact with the Systems support group and we will discuss your needs.

For departmentally managed servers, if there is an individual who needs notification of outages by either email, or text message.
