Dual Enrollment Instructions for Fall 2021

EMAIL A COPY OF SPRING DE SCHEDULE TO DR. SHAW or DR. DAY

by April 30, 2021

ETSU DE for Fall 2021

Eligibility:       3.0 cumulative GPA and 19 on PACT or ACT Composite and all subscores

If you do not have a test score, ETSU plans to offer an alternate route for admission that will include placement testing and advisement. Please contact Dr. Shaw for additional paperwork if needed. Students who were admitted with a waiver in the spring may be required to take the ACCUPLACER and/or be required to attend advisement.

 Current ETSU DE Students: 

  1. Complete and return (via email shawa@etsu.edu ) the Dual Enrollment Authorization Form found here https://www.etsu.edu/admissions/apply/dual/ to Dr. Shaw by March 5, 2021. You can look up the Fall 2021 class schedule here https://selfserv.etsu.edu/pls/PROD/twbkwbis.P_GenMenu?name=homepage.
  1. Request a transcript from University School to go to ETSU here: https://etsutn.scriborder.com/
  2. Apply for the Dual Enrollment Grant online below using your existing account. If you do not remember your credentials, you will need to call the TSAC help line to reset your account.

  1. Wait for your GoldLink hold to be cleared and register online. Your hold cannot be cleared until all of the above steps have been completed and processed. Send a copy of your concise student schedule to shawa@etsu.edu or daya@etsu.edu. DUE April 30.

New ETSU DE Students:

  1.   3. Apply for the Dual Enrollment Grant online here

https://www.tn.gov/collegepays/money-for-college/tn-education-lottery-programs/dual-enrollment-grant.html  (not available to 9th & 10th grade) (students of ETSU & State employees should see their HR office for discount forms).

  1. Apply for admission to ETSU online under Start Your Application. Be sure to choose “Dual Enrollment” as your student status in order to avoid having to pay an admission fee. It will be the first choice on the application.

  1. You will receive a letter via email and/or regular mail that prompts you to create a GoldLink account and register. Please be watching closely for the letter. Once you have created your account, I can help you complete your registration. Registration DUE April 30.

NORTHEAST STATE DE FOR Fall 2021

Eligibility Requirements: Students must have an 18 in English and a 19 in Reading on the ACT to enroll in most general education courses and at least a 19 in Math for math and science courses.  Students who have taken the SAT must score a 490 in Writing and 500 in Reading and Math. Students who have not taken the ACT or SAT must successfully pass the ACCUPLACER placement test, which is an untimed placement test given at Northeast State

Students May Be Admitted Without Test Scores By Meeting the Following Requirements:

3.6 cumulative GPA unweighted in the absence of test scores.        

Current Northeast State DE Students

  1. Apply for the Dual Enrollment Grant online here

  1. Schedule an appointment for admission and registration advisement with Ms. McKenzie at swmckenzie@northeaststate.edu or 765.7272 or Ms. Rasnic at 423-354-2586. You may also schedule an appointment online at https://calendly.com/upde
  2. Your appointment will be online this year.
  3. Request that Northeast send a copy of your schedule to Dr. Shaw by April 30.

New Northeast State DE Students
