Your input helps us!
There are a number of ways you can give us your perspective when it comes to great teaching on campus.
Check out the options below to learn more about ways you can let us know about your learning experiences.
Thank a Teacher
Let your ETSU instructor know how much they've helped you to be successful! We'll send your thank-you message to your instructor with a congratulatory note from our Center.
Tell Us What Helps
The Center for Teaching Excellence publishes a newsletter twice per semester that is sent out to our instructors. One regular feature, "Student Voices," highlights what our students say their instructors do that is helpful for their learning success.
Submit your thoughts about great teaching approaches here, for potential use in an upcoming newsletter:
Join Our Student Advisory Board
The Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) is looking for student volunteers to serve on a Student Advisory Board during the 2024 - 2025 academic year.
We will be holding several focus groups to address common themes around effective
teaching here at ETSU. If you are an undergraduate or graduate student and interested
in this opportunity, please share your contact information below. We will make sure
to contact you with a link to apply!
The student board will gather to
-
- share past teaching experiences from the student's perspective
- advocate for effective teaching across campus
- provide feedback on current teaching practices
- identify opportunities for improvement
- inform future workshops offered by the CTE
We plan to have four (4) focus group sessions in 2024-2025.
Fall 2024 meetings will be held Tuesday October 8 and Tuesday November 12, 3:00pm – 4:30pm in Sherrod Library Room 433.
The two (2) Spring 2025 dates will be set at a later time.
Please contact Brittany Butler (butlerbl@etsu.edu), CTE Faculty Fellow, with any questions.
