You will register for classes with the guidance of your academic advisor when you attend orientation. Sign up for orientation using the invitation that arrives to your ETSU email account. Q: How do I submit my transcripts and test scores?
Request that an official copy (sealed, unopened version) of your transcript be sent directly to
- High school transcript: Contact your school counseling office.
- Community college/university transcript: Contact the institution’s records or registrar office.
- AP/SAT/ACT: Log into your CollegeBoard or ACT student profile. Designate ETSU as the recipient.

NOTE: ETSU does not accept faxed or emailed transcripts as official documents. Transcripts must be received in their sealed institutional envelopes, or through an approved electronic transcript service.

Q: How can I apply for a fee waiver?
A: A limited number of fee waivers are available each year to students with demonstrable financial need. The fee waiver application can be found here: https://www.etsu.edu/admissions/documents/fee_waiver_request_form.pdf Fee waiver funds are limited and issued on a first-come, first-served basis; if you are requesting a waiver, please submit a completed application (including transcript and test score) as soon as possible.
Q: I haven’t heard anything back after applying. What do I do?
A: Call 423-439-4213 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to check on your application status! We will always send communication to applicants to let them know their application was received, and whether any missing documents need to be submitted. If you have not heard anything at all, it is most likely that your $25 application fee has not been received, which prevents your application from being electronically processed. Please contact us for assistance.

A:Once we have received your application, an ETSU username and ID will be emailed to you so you may monitor the status of your application as it goes through the review process. Q: What are the admission requirements?
A: Freshman applicants must have a 2.3 GPA or a 19 ACT/ 980 SAT. The average incoming freshman has a 3.5 GPA and a 23 ACT.

Q: What is the process for taking classes at one of ETSU’s satellite campuses?
A: Students who wish to attend classes at one of ETSU’s satellite campuses will apply as normal. When you are at the point of registering for classes with your academic advisor, you will select courses offered at your desired campus site.
Q: What is the process for taking classes online?
A: Students who wish to take online classes will apply as normal. When you are at the point of registering for classes with your academic advisor, you will select courses offered online. You can select “WEB” as “method of instruction” when using the GoldLink ‘Look Up Classes’ tool.
Q: How will my courses transfer?
A: Visit Transfer Works to develop an unofficial transfer evaluation. Use the Transfer Equivalencies Tool to view how courses from previous institutions will transfer to ETSU. Upon being admitted to ETSU, transfer students will have an official transfer articulation evaluation completed for them.
