The Teacher Education Honors Program is designed for students who are looking for a challenging educational option.

The Honors Program provides intellectual stimuli and challenges for students with superior academic ability. The special honors courses offered provide a stimulating range and depth of intellectual inquiry, with a focus on service learning, culminating in an action research project (of thesis quality). Honors students work with outstanding faculty members in enhanced courses and participate in extracurricular activities and independent scholarship, affording them the opportunity to integrate content areas and theoretical foundations regarding best teaching practices.
