Undergraduate Students
Awards have been distributed to eligible undergraduate students, based on need, as
determined by the 2019-2020 FAFSA with an emphasis on providing additional support
to the neediest populations.
- Pell grant recipients with 0-2100 EFC: $1,250
- Pell grant recipients with 2100-5576 EFC: $ 600
- Students eligible for Direct loans and not receiving grants: $ 280
Graduate & Professional Students
Awards in the amount of $280 have been distributed to eligible graduate and professional students.
CARES Act Grant Funding – CARE Report Application Process
ETSU reserved 10 percent ($550,000) of the initial Emergency Financial Aid Grants for students for direct student emergency grant requests. Students must have been enrolled in the spring 2020 semester and meet the eligibility requirements for Title IV Financial Aid under Section 484 of the Higher Education Act. Students with significant financial need for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus are able to apply for an emergency grant. Award amounts will be determined based on a student’s eligibility and circumstances but will not exceed $1,500.

An email was sent to students that received Emergency Financial Aid Grant funds under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act. CARES Act information was also included in a campus wide email and as an announcement posted to the university’s Coronavirus Response webpage.
