Why should I pursue this program at ETSU?
The fully-online Respiratory Therapy B.S. completion program offers students who have already completed an associate degree in respiratory therapy the chance to complete a bachelor’s degree in a relatively short period of time. While many 4-year universities will not accept the majority of transfer credit from Associate of Applied Science (AAS) programs, students who have already completed their associate degree will be awarded credit for 43 credit hours of major courses through the online degree completion program, allowing them to complete their bachelor’s degree in as few as 30 credit hours—that's only two semesters of coursework!

Do students need to have a background in this field? What are the prerequisites?
Students must have completed an associate degree in respiratory therapy and be licensed or license-eligible in their discipline in order to be eligible for the B.S. Respiratory Therapy degree completion program.
It is recommended that students complete HSCI 2230/2231 – Introduction to Microbiology/Lab or equivalent before enrolling in the online degree completion program. Does this program require an internship or field work?
Students will complete a clinical education course in which they will be paired with a mentor to complete a professional project. This experience is designed to be flexible and work around the schedule of working professionals and may be completed in the student’s current workplace.

What is the time to completion?
The online B.S. Respiratory Therapy degree completion program is designed to be flexible and adaptable in order to meet the needs of students who work full time and/or have familial obligations. Students who pursue the program full-time may complete the program in as few as two semesters. Students may also choose to attend part-time and take semesters off based on the demands of their busy lives.
Unofficial transcript evaluations can be completed for prospective students in order for them to see exactly how many classes would be required for them to graduate from the Respiratory Therapy online B.S. completion program.
