Through a partnership with the ETSU Research Corporation, university, and LaunchTN, ETSU researchers can access one-time funding for promising technologies through the Tennessee Technology Advancement Consortium (TTAC) Proof of Concept Grant Program. This Program provides grants to help faculty and staff advance their early-stage research towards commercialization.

Information Needed to Apply
- Funding to be Requested (Up to $10,000)
- Have you filed an invention disclosure to the appropriate representative at your institution for the technology submitted here?
- Project Summary (500-word limit): In a concise overview, describe your proposed project. Briefly outline the key milestones and the corresponding deliverables you plan to achieve during the grant funding period.
- Problem/Need (500-word limit): Describe the new concept, technology, or invention you're developing. Explain how it has the potential to solve a specific market problem or address a critical unmet customer need.
- Preliminary Findings (500-word limit): Have you conducted any preliminary research or development activities that support your proposed project? If so, please provide details on the findings you've generated.
- Technology Advancement: Briefly discuss existing technologies or processes that address the same issue. Analyze their strengths and weaknesses compared to the concept you're developing. Explain how this funding will specifically advance your technology towards commercialization.
- Project Team (100-word limit): Briefly describe your project team and how each member's expertise will be utilized for the project.
- Budget Justification (50-word limit): Provide a summary of how the requested funds will be used.
- Proposed Start Date (projects must begin by June 30, 2025)
