How do I register for an in-person campus visit?
You can sign up for a campus visit here or visit our webpage, etsu.edu/visit for more information. We have two morning and two afternoon options for every weekday and options on most Saturdays. -
Where does the campus visit begin?
The campus visit begins in the ETSU Welcome Center located on the second floor of the D.P. Culp Student Center, suite 250. The address for the Culp Center is 412 J.L. Seehorn Jr. Rd. Johnson City, TN, 37601.

Where do I park for my campus visit?
Guests attending an ETSU Campus Visit can register for and print out a Visitor Parking Permit here. This allows guests to park in our Welcome Center reserved parking spaces in Parking Lot 35. We recommend using the address 363 Stout Dr. Johnson City, TN 37614 for your GPS device. Please see the ETSU parking map for reference. -
Can I be matched with a tour guide that has the same academic interests as me?
Our tour guides, or Expedition Leaders, represent a diverse set of academic majors and interests. If you would like to explore campus with a guide from a certain hometown or academic interest, please consult our Expedition Leaders website to plan your visit around their scheduled tour times.
Even if you cannot schedule a visit with your prefered Expedition Leader you can email them with any questions you might have. Simply contact visit@etsu.edu with your request and we will connect you!

How do I make an appointment with my academic department or another campus resource?
We encourage all prospective students to make an in-person or virtual appointment with a representative from their academic college/department or campus resource. Please consult our Customize Your Campus Visit website for more information about whom to contact. -
Do I need to bring anything with me for my campus visit?
We do not require that guests bring anything for your campus visit. We do recommend wearing comfortable shoes, weather appropriate clothes, and preparing specific questions ahead of time! -
What will I receive when I come for my campus visit?
Guests will recieve a complimentary ETSU lanyard, pen, and information packet upon check-in. We also provide a meal voucher to the ETSU Dining Hall and a 20% off coupon to the ETSU Bookstore. Guests can also take advantage of free coffee and water at the Welcome Center.
Please note that these dining locations and bookstore close at 4:30pm. If you are scheduled for a 2:30pm tour, we recommend arriving and checking in early to utilize these prior to your campus visit.

Do you provide a meal in the ETSU Dining Hall?
Yes! With your visit, the registered student will recieve a free meal voucher to the ETSU Dining Hall. All guests will recieve a meal at the discounted price of $5 per person. -
Will I be able to get a school excuse when I come for my visit?
Yes! Simply request one as you check in for your scheduled campus visit. -
What should I see/do while I'm in Johnson City?
Johnson City, TN is a wonderful place to explore food, culture, and most of all, the outdoors! See the official Visit Johnson City website for information about current events, ways to explore, and places to stay. -
What accommodations do you recommend?
Johnson City has an abundance of wonderful places to stay and you can find out more about all the options here. The Carnegie Hotel is located right across the street from campus and offers a discount to guests of ETSU. Please email visit@etsu.edu if you would like to find out more about this opportunity.
