Student Travel
Biomedical Science Graduate Program - A written request by the student or his/her major advisor should be made to Dr. Eric Beaumont (beaumont@etsu.edu), Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education. Priority will be given to students who have been admitted to candidacy in the Ph.D. program and who are presenting their research at a scientific meeting. The maximum amount is $500 per student, per year.
Students may also apply for the following travel awards:
- Daigneault Pharmacology Graduate Student Travel Award
- The Bill and Jane Mayberry Microbiology Scholarship
- The Dr. Jane E. Raulston Memorial Microbiology Scholarship

There are also many opportunities to present your research at regional, national and international conferences. Please discuss this possibility with your advisor. These are invaluable ways to gain experience in presenting your work, networking with other researchers, and learn about new advancements in your field.

You may also visit the University Health Center website for information regarding immunization requirements, documentation and health insurance resources. All full-time Graduate Research Assistants in the Biomedical Science Graduate Program are required to have adequate health and accident insurance. Program-specific information regarding registration, orientation and GA contracts will be emailed to students in the summer prior to the start of the fall semester.
