Financial Aid
Below are steps needed for first-year medical students to apply for financial assistance at ETSU Quillen College of Medicine. When you click on each link below, please follow the directions and links listed. Some steps may have more than one link to complete. After completing each step, you may either click the Back button on your browser or exit the website to return to this page.
Step 1: Fill out your Scholarship Application
Institutional Scholarship Application
To be eligible for an Institutional Scholarship you must complete the 2021-2022 FAFSA.
Priority Deadline is March 1st.
Step 2: Create a Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID)
To be able to apply for financial aid online and sign your application electronically, you will need an FSA username and password. To establish a username and password from the Department of Education you must apply online. This can be used each year to electronically apply for Federal Student Aid and to access your U.S. Department of Education records online. Your FSA ID serves as your electronic signature and provides access to your personal records.
Step 3: Complete your FAFSA Application
For the 2021-2022 FAFSA, students will be required to use income and tax information from the 2019 tax year.
For all incoming M1 students, please wait to complete Step 4 until you have returned your signed award letter accepting student loans.
Step 4: Complete Entrance Counseling & Sign MPN
- Click on Sign In and follow instructions
- Click Complete Entrance Counseling
- Click Graduate or Professional Student
Step 5: Financial Aid and Prior Balances Authorization Form
Step 6: Set up your Direct Deposit Account
We cannot disburse your Federal Direct Loans until all required processes are completed.
