Live Chat for Your Website

Provide Support offers a web chat service which would allow those outside the university another avenue to communicate with staff or faculty on campus.  With the higher-ed discount, you can purchase a 1 year/3 operator license for only $100. The software can be purchased on a pro-card.

Slack Instant Messaging for Teams

Slack is a robust instant messaging platform that allows communication between inividuals and teams.  With access from a computer or via a smartphone app, you can communicate within a department or create student groups that can work together remotely through Slack.

Channels within slack create organized spaces for everything related to a project, topic or team.  You can share files and have video conversations wtihin channels.  For more information, check out the Slack 101 tutorial and view this guide on working remotely with slack.

Microsoft Teams

Already included in your license for Office 365, alongside familiar products like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams offers the opportunity to work remotely while allowing services like file sharing, chatting, and video conferencing/meeting.
