When must I submit a tuition and fee deferment?
Every single term for which you register. -
Why must I complete a tuition and fee (T&F) deferment?
The T&F deferment allows you until the last day of that term (and that term only) to pay off your tuition and fees. -
I’m a post 9/11 GI BILL® recipient, and my tuition and fees is paid by the VA…why must I complete a tuition and fee deferment?
If you certify with less than 30 days to the start of the term, the VA could pay out AFTER the first day of the term and without any payment, your schedule is deleted (the infamous “purge”). The T&F deferment ensures that your schedule is confirmed. -
I keep getting the e-mail from the Bursar that I need to confirm registration, but I know that I have a T&F deferment in place…what is going on?
That e-mail is auto-generated and doesn’t remove those who are covered by a deferment. If you know for certain that you submitted a complete T&F deferment, then you need not worry. -
My Veteran Deferment isn’t being applied to my account, what has happened?
If you are carrying a balance from the previous term or have ANY parking tickets, then your Veteran T&F deferment will not apply. You must pay off that previous balance for your deferment to take, or you will be purged. -
Since I last communicated to the VA, my bank account has changed….how do I submit an update to the VA?
Call 1-877-838-2778 (Direct Deposit Enrollment/Changes). -
