At ETSU, our goal is to make things as easy as possible for you!  We understand that this could be a stressful time, so we try to take the guess-work out of this process.  Below are checklists (and FAQ) designed to make your step into higher education as easy as possible.  If you have any questions or need additional information please Email us or call the office at 423-439-6819.

ETSU Office of Veterans Affairs is your #1 advocate to all things ETSU.  We care for Vets, because we are Vets.  Every member of our office is a Veteran. 

Military Affiliated Student (MAS) = Student who served, had a parent serve, or their spouse served.

New Student Checklist:

Veteran using G.I.® Bill Benefits

• Apply for your G.I.® Bill benefits.  This also requests your Certification of Eligibility (COE) from the VA. (Here)
• Contact Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) for Application (they pay for application fee) to ETSU.  (Here)
• Contact Veterans Upward Bound for ordering of transcripts (they pay for this too) to ETSU.  (Here)
• Request your Official Joint Services Transcript. (Here or via VUB) / Air Force Veterans (Here)
• Submit a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility to ETSU Veterans Affairs.
• Complete your Tuition and Fee Deferment Form (Here)

Veteran NOT using G.I.® Bill Benefits

• Contact Veterans Upward Bound for Application (they pay for application fee) to ETSU.  (Here)

Military Affiliated (Child or Spouse) using G.I.® Bill Benefits

• Apply for your G.I.® Bill benefits.  This also requests your requests your Certification of Eligibility from the VA. (Here)
