Job Family Concept
The Teaching and Learning job family is responsible for assigned activities involved in the teaching and training of children, students, staff, and community members of a wide variety of subjects and educational/training levels. The Teaching and Learning job family provides classroom and academic support by ensuring access and enhancing the learning experience; providing training, facilitating and instructing by assessing needs, developing content, curriculum and content delivery; and developing and coordinating ongoing educational and training programing.

Teaching and Learning Accessibility SpecialistResponsible for providing interpreting, translating, or transcribing services for individuals with disabilities by providing access for hearing impaired students in courses and other university-sponsored activities. |
Teaching and Learning TutorResponsible for providing strategies and assistance to students in improving academic achievement and success. Competencies for this role are typically gained through specialized and on-the-job training. |
Teaching and Learning Early Childhood EducationResponsible for providing classroom management, care of children, curriculum planning, teaching and mentoring of college students in a learning lab environment. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures and regulations. Competencies for this role are typically gained through specialized education and training. |
Teaching and Learning Instructional DesignerResponsible for designing and developing learning solutions and environments to address identified challenges. The role designs and develops teaching and learning programs that make use of various technologies to support instruction and deliver programs that incorporate best practices and effective teaching and learning strategies. The primary focus of this role is not on delivering training, although that may be a secondary function.
