Group Fitness


The Group Fitness program at Campus Recreation is designed and dedicated to enhancing the physical well being of the entire ETSU community by providing a wide range of cardiovascular, weight training, flexibility, mind-body and endurance activities ranging from beginner to advanced level. Classes are as varied as their participants and there truly is a class for everyone. The demands of each class are tuned to the abilities and desires of the participant. There is a program that will suit your needs from both a physical and psychological aspects.

Even though class offerings vary from semester to semester, you will be able to find a variety of classes that often includes:

  • Zumba, WERQ, Piloxing, and Buti Yoga
  • Total Body Strength and Conditioning, HIIT, Abs 
  • Pilates, Yoga, Black Light Yoga
  • Water Aerobics (Hydrofit), Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga, Aqua Yoga
  • Indoor Cycle
  • A variety of Martial Arts classes (Japanese Swordsmanship, Judo, Kung Fu)
  • Hip Hop and Ballroom Dancing

    All of our instructors are required to hold and maintain a nationally recognized certification or certificate. 

All Group fitness classes are FREE to students who have paid their student activities fees, as well as all faculty/staff/alumni and spouse-domestic partner/dependent members who have paid membership fees to Campus Recreation. A person interested in taking a group fitness class does not need to pre-register for that class.  Our classes are not open to the public.
