We offer online AND on site payments for your personal training sessions!
If you would like to pay for your personal training sessions with a debit or credit
card online, visit our member portal.
You may also pay for your sessions at the Member Services Desk (at the entrance to the CPA) with cash, check, debit or credit card.
The personal training service is designed to teach the client how to effectively and efficiently use their body to reach their fitness/lifestyle goals. The Center for Physical Activity's (CPA) personal training programs can include: weight management strategies, sport specific training, cardiovascular training, weight training and/or flexibility training. All CPA personal trainers are here to provide their clients with safe, effective workouts designed to educate and meet realistic goals set forth at the beginning of the training sessions. All CPA personal trainers are required to hold and maintain a nationally recognized certification and are CPR/AED certified. However, our trainers are NOT allowed to give any specific nutritional/pharmaceutical advice to their clients.
To sign up for a personal trainer, three simple steps need to be followed:
- Print off and fill out the REGISTRATION FORM along with the consent forms and fitness questionnaires.
- Bring the completed forms to the member services desk at the CPA and turn them in.
- You will be contacted by a personal trainer within 10-15 business days to set up an appointment.
All ETSU students, faculty/staff and retirees receive two complimentary 1 hour personal training sessions. Spouse, domestic partner, alumni and dependent members are NOT eligible for the two complimentary sessions (but are eligible to purchase a training package). This form is to be filled out for the two complimentary sessions or to purchase a personal training package.
After the two complimentary sessions, patrons may purchase one of the following packages. All package fees are to be paid at the Member Services desk with cash, check, debit, credit or IDBUCS. Online payments can be made through the member portal above.
Personal Training Packages*
Four 1 hour sessions for $50 students and $60 faculty/staff/SDPD members
Eight 1 hour sessions for $90 students and $110 faculty/staff/SDPD members
All PT sessions must be used within a year of purchase. Any remaining sessions after 12 months will be forfeited.
Note: The Personal Training Service may not be for everyone. The service is not meant as a substitute for intensive rehabilitation or therapy. The Department of Campus Recreation reserves the right to refuse personal training services to any patron if their medical limitations exceed the abilities of our staff. Your safety is our primary concern.
Due to the popularity of the program, time slots fill up very quickly and our trainers become extremely busy. It is important that, you the client keep all personal training appointments. If cancellations are made less than 24 hours before a scheduled training session, the client will be charged one session.
